How is an animal chiropractor trained?
A chiropractor qualified to treat animals first has to qualify
as a human chiropractor and be registered with the General Chiropractic
Council. The GCC recognises the four or five year programmes offered
by accredited institutions in the UK. Post graduate courses for
this particular method of chiropractic treatment are not available
in the United Kingdom hence the necessity to travel to the United
States of America. The animal chiropractic course is accredited
by the American Veterinary and Chiropractic Association, which encourages
integration between the two professions. |
